Released in 1996, Super Mario 64 was a launch title for the Nintendo 64. As a launch title, Mario 64 showed off what the N64 could do. When the player turns on the game, a 3D Mario head greets them. This left an impression with player that 3D is fun to explorer and that carries into the actual game. As Super Mario 3D All-Stars released recently, this review will be looking into that version of the game.

Video Game Review: Shantae Half-Genie Hero
Released in December 2016, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero released on every major console at the time. Half-Genie Hero took what previous games had and built on/ simplified many different elements. Being the fourth game in the series, many fans had high expectations of this game. While the reviews were lower than Pirate’s Curse, Half-Genie Hero still did very well with many fans. WayForward’s first step into HD for this series created a fresh start for the series while maintaining the what people loved of the original game.
Video Game Review: Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse
I just dropped over 300 dollars this last weekend. Limited Run Games decided to rerelease the original Shantae on both the Switch and GameBoy Color. I bought multiple copies, I am not ashamed. Since I dropped so much on this game, I figured I should review a few of the other games. Released in 2014 and developed by WayForward, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse launched on the 3DS initially and then everything else over years. Pirate’s Curse quickly became one of the best platformers on the 3DS and a fan favorite among 3DS owners.
Pokémon Shiny Hunting
Introduced back in generation 2, there would be a small chance for a different colored Pokémon to appear. These rare “shiny” Pokémon would become something that many collectors strive to obtain. Over the past few years, there have been many methods to increase the rate of a shiny encounter. With 33 main series titles, many games share some methods while others have their own unique method. This makes it so some games are better for hunting certain Pokémon than others.
Importing
As consoles now are region-free, many gamers have taken an interest into importing games. There are many reasons as to why someone would import a game and most reasons are personal interest. With how common the internet is now in comparison to the past, importing games have never been easier. And with the amount of available importing sites, it is easy for anyone to add games from other regions to the collection.
