Events at 2015 Gen Con Indy

There are a number of events that might be of interest to transgender gamers at the upcoming Gen Con in Indianapolis this year. Tabletop Gaymers is hosting their annual  “Queer as a Three-Sided Die” seminar along with a number of events that are transgender inclusive. Alexa Heart, a transgender cosplayer, will be hosting seminars on cosplay as well as one on coming out in the gaming culture.

Magic: The Gathering: First Friday Night Magic Event

I’ve been collecting the Magic: The Gathering Fates Reforged set. I had a complete set along with a boat load of common cards. I thought I would try to put together a Khans of Takir block constructed deck. I put my deck to the test at ,my first ever Friday Night Magic gathering at The Gaming Goat, which was running a standard deck tournament.

Rachel Bryk Commits Suicide

Rachel Bryk, a transgender woman and a game developer for the Dolphin Emulator, committed suicide on Thursday, April 23rd. She was 23 years old.

Byrk started submitting code to the Dolphin Emulator, an emulator that allows Wii and GameCube games to be played on the PC, two years ago. During that time she was responsible for improvements in savestates, netplay, the user interface, configuration, and many others. She spent much of her time improving the tool assisted speedrun

PinkFae Dota 2 League Tournament Set to Begin

The field for the very first PinkFae Dota 2 League tournament is set to start May 2nd at 2pm CDT. Twenty-three players are competing for the $500 prize pool and the 2015 Female 1v1 Tournament trophy.

Taking the top seed is Delfnee, captain of the team WoH8 (The Six Wives Of Henry VIII) who currently came off of an impressive run in the Girl Wars tournament in April.
