Welcome Back to Mineral Town: Video Game Review

Released back in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town became one of the most beloved games in the franchise. It’s no surprise that this is the game that most Harvest Moon fans look back on fondly. As with many remakes in the past, Friends of Mineral Town has of course been reworked from the ground up; Characters were redesigned, game play has been improved, and the game is in 3D instead of 2D. These changes give this game a modern feel that will draw in new players to the series while bringing back many of the older fans of the series with a bit of nostalgia in the first Story of Seasons game on the Switch.

Video Game Review: Persona 5 Royal

Persona 5 released back in September of 2016 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and being a mainline game it added in a lot of new changes to the series that not only made older fans of the series cry tears of joy; it also brought in new fans to the series and sparked even more interest in a series. As Persona 4 had an enhanced port in the form of Persona 4 Golden, Persona 5 received this treatment on March 2020 with Persona 5 Royal. Adding in new elements to both game play and story line breaths new life to this game. I will try keeping the spoilers to a minimum.

Achievement Unlocked: Beginnings

There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing the achievements of an amazing game pop-up on screen. Whether it be through having the Gamerscore add up in your Xbox account or seeing all the platinum trophies on someone’s PSN account, there’s always a sense of pride that follows showing people your account. Having only started platinum hunting at the end of 2018 as a personal challenge; I had never really thought about completing any games to completion before that. Who knew that challenge would lead to one of my biggest hobbies? As I mainly play most of my games on PlayStation, I will be talking in terms of PSN, but this can be carried over to other platforms as well.
